Mudgee Wrap Up

Last weekend saw us take on Manly across Grade & Colts and Easts in Women's and we saw hard fought battles across the board.

On Thursday night in atrocious conditions our 3rds & 4ths went down in challenging games, just not able to cope with the conditions as well as Manly. At Chatswood however our girls ground out an incredibly gutsy win against Easts which included a try with minutes left and a clutch conversion to take the lead.

Following this we had our Colts playing night games at Manly on Friday night with 2nd & 3rd Colts continuing their very impressive start to the season with solid victories before 1st Colts went down in a tightly fought contest.

This then took us to Mudgee which was a great success in many ways. As far as results go 2nd Grade just going down in a seesawing game, there is a lot to like about this 2nd Grade team as they work on being able to close out games. In 1st Grade we had a convincing victory in a highly entertaining match played in front of a solid crowd.

Once again we thank Mudgee Wombats, Mid-Western Regional Council, Manly Rugby Club & Sydney Rugby in supporting what was a fantastic weekend away and one we think has legs to build on into the future.
Congratulations to Cam Wood who brought up his 100th game for the club on the weekend, great to have you back in the Tartan!

2025/2026 End of Financial Year Tax Deduction Opportunity to Support and Grow Gordon Rugby

The Friends of Gordon Foundation was established in October 2021 to help Gordon Rugby remain both competitive and financially stable. Its goal is to create an environment and culture that supports ongoing success at every level for years to come.

Full details of the Friends of Gordon Foundation and how we operate can be found on the Gordon Rugby website.

In just under 5 years, we have raised over $575,000 in donations, from which we have been able to provide grants to Gordon Rugby to enhance the rugby program in all aspects and provide developmental opportunities for players amongst other things, the Gordon Juniors as well as build up a Future Fund that will help to ensure the long term future of Gordon Rugby.

We thank all donors for their generosity and support.

50% of all donations received in the current year are made available for eligible Grants under the Australian Sports Foundation Guidelines, whilst the remaining 50% is paid into our Future Fund.

With the end of the 2025/2026 Financial Year only weeks away, this is an ideal opportunity to consider a tax-deductible contribution to support the Foundation and help to ensure that the Club remains a strong force in the Sydney Rugby Union's first division competition for the foreseeable future.
