🎙️ A New Podcast!
We’re excited to announce the launch of Peckham Digital: Artist and Computer, a new podcast exploring the ever-evolving relationship between artists and technology.
Inspired by Ruth Leavitt’s groundbreaking 1976 anthology 'Artist and Computer', the series revisits the original ten questions posed to pioneering computer artists, this time asking a new generation of creators how and why they use computers in their practice today.
Each episode features a contemporary artist or creative technologist reflecting on their methods, the role of technology in their work, and how they imagine its impact on the future of art.
Hope you love the podcast cover as much as we do! The design was created by Lonni Omari, a graphic designer from our 2025 MUSICxCODE programme. You can find more of her work on Instagram @rgb.lon
The first episode drops on the 9th of October at 12pm and will be released fortnightly. Stay tuned!

🖥️ Adaptables Spotlight
We're excited to highlight the Adaptables Guide, a fantastic resource for creators interested in open-source hardware and software. The guide walks you through building and customising your own digital tools, with a focus on accessibility and sustainability. Whether you’re a seasoned maker or just starting out, Adaptables provides practical advice and inspiration to help bring your creative projects to life.
The Adaptables Media Timer is an open-source media player designed to make complex multimedia scheduling simple and accessible. It supports all the standard audio-visual formats while also being capable of running dynamic formats like web applications and generative coding outputs.
The Media Timer was developed after noticing that existing media playback devices weren’t very suitable for modern media requirements. Too often, people were stuck with restrictive, basic scheduling limitations or had to convert rich interactive work into simplified video formats. The Media Timer offers a more flexible approach for exhibitions and installations.
The open-source software lets you easily synchronise your media across an unlimited number of schedules for each day of the week, accepting a much broader range of file types including Processing and Pure Data executables, p5.js sketches and Python scripts. Built from refurbished hardware, the Media Timers help reduce tech waste while utilising the low power capabilities of single board computers to offer a carbon efficient, environmentally friendly alternative.
We’re planning to use the Adaptables Media Timer in the exhibition at Peckham Digital, so if you’re curious to see it in action, make sure to check it out!
