Big news from More Like US!
We’re excited to share that More Like US has been published in the National Civic Review, one of America’s most respected and enduring journals of civic affairs.
Now in its 115th year, the National Civic Review is published by the National Civic League, an esteemed organization whose founding leaders included two giants of American civic life: Theodore Roosevelt and Louis Brandeis.
More Motivation. Fewer Misperceptions. Better Messaging. Our essay, The "M’s" Leading to More Civil Discourse – at Colleges and Beyond, lays out our rationale and approach.
At the heart of our work are two powerful ideas: Across the political spectrum, Americans often share more similarities – and are more willing to communicate – than commonly believed.
By motivating people to engage, correcting misperceptions, and delivering effective messages from the micro to the macro level, we increase interest in civil discourse.
And yes – we managed to work in a healthy dose of alliteration along the way!
