Dear <<First Name>>,
53 DWELLINGS BEHIND RAGGED HALL LANE
Ref 5/2023/1300
The appeal to the Planning Inspectorate for the application to build 53 new dwellings on Green Belt land between Ragged Hall Lane and Westfields Farm is open for comments from the general public.
We are asking you all to use the suggestions on our website to email the Planning Inspectorate to express your objection to building on the last remaining piece of Green Belt between Chiswell Green and St Albans.
The appeal has been upgraded from being a ‘written’ appeal to being a ‘public hearing’, and there is speculation that it will be upgraded again to a Public Inquiry - with barristers and cross examination, like the Cala and Polo Inquiry.
The appeal is due to be heard from Tuesday 13th February in the Council Chamber at the Civic Offices in St Albans. All members of the public are welcome to attend and the event will be live-streamed.
Please put this in your diaries!
This will be an important decision and will show us the fundamental guidelines that PINS has been given by the Government regarding protections for the Green Belt.
To make it more interesting, we may receive the Cala and Polo decision in the next month too!
Thank you as always for your continued support!
