✨ A Fresh Start: New Academic Year & Staff Training
|
As the last days of May faded into warm monsoon breezes 🌦️, our campus stirred with life again. First came our dedicated staff 👩🏫👨🏫 — a week ahead of the students — their commitment and readiness to prepare, learn, and grow together, a testament to their invaluable contribution to our community.
The training sessions were a vibrant mix of learning and sharing 📚. Teachers delved into the nuances of working with Ability-Wise Classes, wardens explored the complex realm of Child Behaviour and Rights 👧👦, and all staff participated in enlightening sessions on Non-Violent Communication, Basic First Aid, and Life Skills. The atmosphere was brimming with insightful discussions, laughter 😂, and a shared determination to provide the best for our children.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rashmi Shiratti and Swati Sapkale 🙏, whose fresh insights and engaging activities added a new dimension to our training sessions. The week culminated in a dynamic All-Staff Meeting 🤝, uniting everyone under our shared vision.

🌱 A Warm Welcome to Our New 1st Standard Students
|
In early June, the joyful chatter of young voices again filled our campus. This year, we welcomed 16 bright new learners — an even balance of 8 girls 👧 and 8 boys 👦 — to our 1st Standard.
For some, it was their first time living away from home 🏠, and we watched with pride as they quickly began making friends 🤝, exploring the campus, and discovering the rhythms of school life. Their curiosity and smiles have brought a fresh spark ✨ to the KSV community.

🔍 Explore, Learn, Create – Saturdays at KSV
|
Saturday mornings at KSV are never ordinary 🌞. Our Discovery & Development sessions have taken students to fascinating places: The bustling local industrial area 🏭, where machines hum and ideas take shape. The historic Railway Museum 🚂 in Hubli, where children climbed aboard vintage engines with wide-eyed wonder. The Khadi Manufacturing Unit 🧵 in Bengeri, where the rhythmic spinning of looms told stories of self-reliance. The Central Village Pottery Centre 🏺 in Kanapur, where clay-stained hands moulded new creations.
Younger students enjoyed a playful morning at the local park 🌳. Meanwhile, our diverse sessions explored a range of topics, from environmental awareness 🌱, to health 🏃, art & craft 🎨, and fitness 💪, ensuring there was something for everyone.

🎶 A Morning of Music – Powered by EdelGive
|
With the generous support 🙏 of the EdelGive Foundation, our quarterly music programmes are flourishing 🎵. In June, for our programme 'Sawan Ki Sargam', we welcomed Pandit Kaivalya Kumar Gurav as our guest artist and esteemed guests Shri Bhuvanesh Patil 🏛️, Smt. Garima Panwar 📜, and Shri P.V. Hiremath 🌱.
Students delivered enthralling performances 🎤 under the guidance of their teachers, while Krishna Sutar moved the audience with a heartfelt recital of Sur Malhar🎻. The musical finale was an awe-inspiring performance by Pandit Kaivalya Kumar Gurav with a captivating recital of Raag Gaud Malhar.
The Himanshu Roy Award for Excellence in Music 🏆 was then presented to vocalist Gangamma Chavan 🎙️ and tabla artist Kishore Waddar 🥁. This award honours Himanshu Roy's memory and celebrates dedication, passion, and artistry.

🎭 A Stage for Karnataka’s Rising Artists
|
July brought a cultural treat 🎨 as the Kannada Cultural Department hosted a vibrant program at KSV, transforming our campus into a stage for Karnataka’s rich artistic heritage. The event celebrated the talents 🌟 of young local artists, whose performances in music, dance, and rhythm filled the air with energy and pride. For our students, it was both an inspiring showcase of tradition and a reminder of the deep cultural roots they are part of. We are grateful to the Kannada Cultural Department for bringing this experience to our doorstep, fostering connections, and encouraging the next generation of performers 🙏.

💃 Reviving Kathak: Partnership with the Dalyan Foundation
|
Thanks to a new three-year partnership 🤝 with the Dalyan Foundation, the graceful art of Kathak 💫 is once again flourishing at KSV. Our new Kathak teacher, Kaveri Katagi, has reignited enthusiasm 💃 among students, including some who have returned to dance after years away.
This collaboration will strengthen our dance program with intensive workshops 🛠️ led by senior artists, guest performances 🎭, and regular opportunities for our students to showcase their talent at cultural festivals 🎉 and in our bi-monthly Manch Pradarshan programs. The partnership also supports exceptional talents like alumna Renuka Sulagekar, pursuing advanced Kathak studies in Pune and inspiring younger students to dream big.
Together, we’re nurturing creativity, confidence, and professional pathways for the next generation of classical dancers 🌟.
