Dear Indivisible Northampton Community,
Our Steering Committee is building a fast way to connect with our members to inform them about an unfolding event and to offer a suggested Rapid Response action if needed, especially during the November elections. We may need to respond quickly to urgent situations, so we are building a way for the leadership team to contact our members to share information and suggest actions.
To be ready, we are asking members who want to give us a way to quickly contact them by phone, text, or Signal text - to share your contact info.
This will be used exclusively for rapid notifications by leadership about events and suggested actions. It will be stored securely in Proton Drive, with access by only a few members of the Steering Committee and Communications Team, to keep your data private.

The Eastern State Exposition (THE BIG E) is happening now in West Springfield from September 18 to October 4. Last year, we stood out to take advantage of this golden opportunity to reach so many people as they drove there.
We will be standing out to highlight the atrocities committed by ICE: murders, children in prison-like centers, inhumane detention conditions, continued family separations, and zero due process.
We have impactful signs for our solemn display of condemnation of the atrocities that are being committed by ICE now. We will likely have extra signs to share.

Saturday, October 3, 3:00-4:00 pm ET
The idea of phone banking may be intimidating but fear not! Indivisible National offers a phone bank training using the "Scale to Win" program to engage voters in key races across the country. The session includes in-depth training on how to log in and navigate using the Scale to Win autodialer, and covers what it's like to make your first call, including a script.
This is a training for those who have never made phone bank calls before or want a refresher - we won't be calling voters during this training.

Weekly Phone Banks to Iowa with Northampton Dems
Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 pm ET thru the November elections
Here's an easy and friendly way to help win five key races in Iowa. There are only two other phone banks in the country calling Iowa so we can make a big impact.
Our phone bank is local, so our volunteers call together each week. We train for 30 mins., call for an hour, and then do a short debrief. Trainers are always available for help.

We Are Ground Control.org - Volunteer to fight for voting rights and our democracy. Ground Control researched many organizations that are impactful and need your help. Here you can find meaningful places to work to protect our elections, and your time will be well spent.
Common Cause MA is seeking volunteers to be non-partisan poll monitors in November. Volunteers work 3-hour shifts on Election Day and are trained in advance.
