The National Rejoin March is on!

Join us on Saturday 10^th September 2022 to take part in the first ever National March for Rejoin. This event has significant support from pro-EU groups across the country, so it should be BIG.

The march will take place five days after the new prime minister is announced: we’re pretty sure a lot of people will have something to say about that, whoever it is!

Why should you come?
1. This is about REJOINING! It is the first big march focusing on the fact that we really want our star back. MEPs Terry Reintke and Guy Verhofstadt have both tweeted their support - and Terry will join the march in London.

2. Even if you think rejoining is years away, we need to send a message to the government and the new Prime Minister. And read this twitter-thread from Richard Bentall to cheer yourself up about the prospects!

3. If you are angry about any the many problems facing the country now, like the cost of living crisis and the impact of Brexit on the economy, or on health care and research, on sewage in our seas and rivers, or on any of the other challenges thrown up by the decision to leave the European Union:this is your chance to let the government know how you feel!

March details
Our coach will leave Poole about 08.30 and stop in Bournemouth, returning in the evening. Exact times will be advised nearer the time: book your tickets here. We have a small number of free or reduced tickets for anyone who is struggling with the cost: book on the site, or contact sarah@dorsetforeurope.org.

We will meet at Hyde Park with rejoiners from all over the country at midday, before the family friendly march to our rally in Parliament Square starting at 15.00.

So, get preparing placards, dig out your EU flags and T-shirts, or buy some new ones from the NRM shop. If anyone can help, the march organisers are looking for volunteers: anyone with experience as a marshal, first aiders or others are in demand.

And, of course, marches cost money to set up: there is a crowd fund page so people can contribute if they wish.

Have you ever enjoyed seeing all the EU flags at the Albert Hall? This year, the 'last night' is on 10th Sept, the same day as the National Rejoin March, so if you are travelling to London independently, you might consider staying late to help distribute the thousands of small flags to concert-goers: details here.
