2024 will be a special year for us as it marks our 10th anniversary With the holiday season behind us, we are looking forward to warmer temperatures and more rain so that we can all enjoy another year of gardening and MGAP events. To celebrate 10 years since our Association was founded, we are planning a number of special events and activities so that as many members and friends can join us to celebrate this landmark. We do hope that you will be able to be with us at one or more of these.

As this will be a busy year for the MGAP organising team, we have decided that unfortunately we will NOT be holding a Spring Garden Fair this year. We know that this will be a disappointment to many, but we do hope you will understand that we have limited resources to do everything we would like to do. As our Garden Fairs are important events for our exhibitors, please do arrange to visit by contacting them with your "plants wanted" lists. You can download a l ist of exhibitors at the 2023 Autumn Fair by clicking here, or a copy of our Nursery List by clicking here. We are however planning for a longer 3-day Autumn Garden Fair from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 October, once again holding this at FISSUL in Silves This should allow us to bring you some new and different nurseries and exhibitors, who will hopefully be attracted by the longer event, plus a wider selection of talks. More details will be announced nearer the event, but please do put these dates in your diary.

This brings you a special report on the International Green Roofs Conference that took place in Maia last October. This event offered inspiring lectures and case studies on this growing topic. We also visit Villa Domergue, a property with an important historical role in Cannes. Over the years, this villa has hosted countless glamorous events, gatherings, and art exhibitions, attracting artists, celebrities, and notable figures from around the world.
In contrast to the extravagance of Villa Domergue, we take our readers to the serene luxury of La Darbia Hotel, a retreat that appeals to natural aesthetics, simplicity, and tranquility. This edition also addresses an unusual search for mushrooms in urban spaces, revealing how it is possible to explore nature even in this context.
