Last year, I mentioned that one of my poems was selected to be part of Poems In Passage: an awesome public art project that puts poetry on subways, streetcars, and buses across Toronto. 

Last week, I stepped onto the subway and there it was: my poem!

But to be honest, other than on the TTC, I haven't been reading much poetry lately. In a complete left turn, I'm actually on a bit of a sci-fi/thriller kick... hence today's recommended read.

An outsider is thrown into a tight-knit group of sapce explorers, who are in turn thrown into a claustrophobic station on an isolated planet full of alien ruins. 

What could possibly go wrong?

In a future where humanity is exploring–and exploiting–planets across the solar system, psychologist Dr. Ophelia Bray is assigned to support a small exploration crew who recently suffered the tragic death of a colleague. Their next mission: to investigate a station abandoned by a competing exploration company, on a mysterious planet that is home to ancient alien ruins. 

It soon becomes clear that the crew doesn’t want Dr. Bray’s help… and that they’re hiding something. 

But the planet they're on is hiding something too.
