At Affinity Ranch, we are deeply grateful for our long-standing and heartfelt partnership
with the Rotary Club of Parker. From our early days as Praying Hands Ranch to our
current work expanding equine-assisted therapy, the Rotary Club has been by our side
— offering their time, energy, and generous spirit to help us grow and serve individuals
of all abilities.
One of the most transformative collaborations this past year has been Rotary’s hands-
on involvement in our Cabin Relocation and Mental Health Expansion Project.
Volunteers worked tirelessly to relocate and repurpose cabins from a former mustang
rescue site. These cabins, nestled near our new herd of therapy-qualified horses, will
soon offer private, peaceful spaces for equine-assisted psychotherapy sessions. We’re
excited to share that this year-long effort is nearing completion, with a growing list of
therapists and clients eager to begin using the new spaces by late summer.
But Rotary’s impact extends far beyond this one project. Their members have built the
duck pond, painted the house on the property, and even purchased a child lift that now
serves clients in the main horse arena. They gifted a new stove for the upstairs kitchen,
and an Eagle Scout from the club painted the garden shed and built shelves inside,
enhancing the ranch’s functionality and charm.
The Rotary Club has also played a critical role in nurturing our sensory gardens,
returning year after year to weed, plant flowers, and lay fabric and gray breeze on the
garden paths, creating a calming, accessible experience for our visitors. During last
year’s Epic Day of Service, Rotary volunteers kicked off the construction of our horse
exercise track, replaced and painted corral boards, and completed additional garden
improvements — all in a single day of dedicated teamwork.
Whether it’s rebuilding, planting, painting, or showing up to support our fundraisers and
special events, the Rotary Club of Parker exemplifies the true meaning of community
partnership.
Their unwavering commitment helps us continue offering unbridled possibilities to those
we serve — and for that, we are truly thankful.
