Hello Neighbors,
As students head back to school today after spring break, I am pleased to let you know that during our Spring Break Giving Event we provided $15,000 in grocery gift cards to 104 local families, which was the largest spring event in our six-year history! This event was possible because of the generosity of Brighthouse Financial. We are so grateful for their partnership.
Spring Break Giving is one of our four seasonal initiatives designed to bridge critical gaps throughout the year. As we look ahead, we are now focused on our Summer Giving Event fundraising campaign, which runs today through May 8. With school out for an extended period, many families face increased strain to provide consistent meals and essential items. Please see the information below to learn how you can contribute.
I also wanted to acknowledge that April is National Volunteer Month, which is a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions of volunteers. Our organization is 100% volunteer-run, and we simply couldn’t make the same impact without the long list of people who have given their time and talent to our mission over the past six years. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
On that note, we have a unique volunteer opportunity open. We are looking for an Impact Analyst - someone to track and use our data to help tell our story to the community. Send me a note if you are interested! heather@ballantynefamilies.org
❤️ As always, thank you for supporting our neighbors in need. Together, we can continue to make a meaningful difference for families right here in our community.
