Spring Concert this Tuesday
On the evening of the concert please arrive no earlier than 6:15pm. You can park in the visitor and staff parking lot that runs parallel to 15th Avenue.  Please enter through door #9.  As you enter please drop your child(ren) off to the left in the Commons Area with their grade level and find a seat for yourself in the auditorium.  When the concert is over a teacher will escort students back to the commons where you may pick them up.  For the safety and enjoyment of all our students please stay for the entire concert so your son/daughter can participate in our all school song.  Pick them up in the commons area so teachers know that students have left safely.

A program for the concert was sent home with student this week.  You are welcome to bring the program to the evening performance or keep it home as a souvenir.  On the evening of the concert the program will be available in digital format ONLY via QR code. The concert program is also available in the link below.

Upcoming Referendum Info
Vote absentee at city hall until March 29.  If voting in-person on April 2, most Lakeview area residents vote at Divine Mercy.  Some of the residents in our area vote at the library.  See this link for more voting information in SM.
On April 2nd, the school board of South Milwaukee has placed a question on the ballot that will ask the voters of South Milwaukee if they will approve additional operational funding for the school district. This is a 5-year request from the school board to the residents of South Milwaukee of $2 million per year. Those funds would be used for specific purposes, including:
• Safety upgrades such as more cameras and more interior safety upgrades to add to the existing safety measures we have in place,
• Supportive funding to replace outdated technology and continue to attract and retain the best educators,
• Successful academic pursuits, including additional career exploration pathways and increased opportunities for elementary technology instruction by hiring teachers specifically for this purpose at the elementary level.
The tax implications of this referendum request is an $8 increase on a property valued at $200,000.  More detailed tax information as well as the answers to other questions about the referendum
are available on our district website.
Please be sure to vote on April 2nd - thank you!
