Like many of you, I’ve benefitted hugely over the years from the experience of moving as one to the deep vibration of a powerful bassline. A steady, predictable beat keeps our nervous system grounded in a calm and curious state, opening us to the possibility of really feeling into whatever is moving through us.
My DJ sets always feature the weaving of powerful basslines with immersive soundscapes traversing a range of emotions, helping us to release tensions and access creativity, inspiration and a sense of oneness, as well as offering softer moments for reflection and integration.
My somatic movement and Yoga Nidra sessions achieve similar aims using another approach –listening deeply and responding to the sensations being generated in our body through movement and stillness, we generate a sense of calm, ease and balance.
Through my work as a psychotherapist and coach, I’m aware that an embodied sense of safety is our most valuable resource – providing strong and flexible roots for us to weather the storms of life. And so this embodiment work continues to call me.
I’m also excited to be offering an ecstatic dance next week at a weekend retreat run by
As one of their DJ ambassadors, I’m keen to help grow awareness of this foundation, set up to support the funding of psychedelic research, and continue to raise funds myself – including donating 20% of the sales generated at the launch of One Heartbeat to this worthy cause.
