July has been a month of reflection, closure, and quiet power at Parity Lab. As our first Global Fellowship cohort completed their journey with us, we witnessed a wave of possibility begin to ripple outward—from rural villages to global boardrooms. Fellows are now taking their learnings into new spaces, building trauma-informed systems of care to end the cycle of gender-based violence across geographies.
We’re also preparing to launch a global campaign rooted in kindness and connection, and laying the groundwork for the next chapter of our Fellowship.
Here’s a glimpse into what we’ve been nurturing this month:

🚀 Our Global Fellowship has been succesfully completed! |
Over the last few months, women leaders from across India, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, and Pakistan journeyed through the Parity Lab Global Fellowship—exploring GbV prevention, trauma-informed leadership, and their own inner shifts.
To all our fellows: “Congratulations on arriving here with honesty, clarity, and care. Your presence has shifted something. We can already feel it. While the fellowship formally concludes, we know the work continues. We hope you carry these tools with you—and return to them when you need to.’

Fellow initiated Projects! |
Our fellows are already weaving trauma-informed leadership into their own ecosystems. From building digital healing tools and rural peer networks, to reshaping safeguarding systems, workplace rhythms, and legal services—their work spans countries, sectors, and lived experiences.
Linda is training frontline maternal health officers in Uganda to recognize and respond to trauma with care. Ayushi is embedding post-disclosure support into Unmute, a legal platform for survivors of abuse. Sowmya is using narrative and storytelling to build trauma literacy. And Zara is introducing grief leave, boundaries, and emotional safety into legal practice in Pakistan. Each project reflects what’s possible when we prioritize care over crisis. We’re so proud—and we’ll be sharing more in the coming weeks!

It’s been a tough year—for many of us, in ways we don’t always speak aloud. At Parity Lab, we’ve learned that healing often starts in the small moments: a supervisor who saw your effort, a friend who held space, a boundary you finally honored. So, this Be Kind to Humankind Week (August 25–31), we’re launching #LeadWithKindness, a campaign that invites women leaders, organizations, and allies to reflect, share, and lead from a place of care.
If you're an ally or any organisation wanting to participate, do reach to us. We'd love to feature you!

 Cohort 4 Fellowship Launch! |
We’re excited to announce that our next Global Fellowship will open applications soon. If you’ve been looking for a space that centers healing, not hustle—where your lived experience is honored, and your leadership is redefined through a trauma-informed lens—this may be for you. Whether you’re in community work, law, mental health, corporate teams, or systems change—this fellowship is designed for women who carry depth, who lead differently, and who are ready to turn inward before they reach out.
đź“… We are accepting applications until August 15th.

📚 Parity Lab Fellow Anita Kamble recently contributed to a powerful community initiative through Ankur NGO. |
On July 14, our fellow Anita's Kamble's Ankur NGO center distributed essential school materials to children of single mothers at the District Panchayat High School. The children received bags, uniforms, notebooks, art supplies, and more—with the support of generous community donors. A small act that plants big seeds for dignity, access, and learning.

đź› Our fellow Shaila Yadav Strengthening Vision & Accountability at Samaveshak |
The Samaveshak collective recently held its annual general body meeting to reflect on its mission, strategies, and shared responsibilities. Members discussed how to close communication gaps, take ownership of organizational goals, and build a more inclusive, accountable leadership structure. The team also reviewed policies, fundraising goals, and progress through a transparent presentation—signaling a renewed commitment to collective growth.
