Forest City Gallery is pleased to announce our 50th Anniversary Members' Show & Sale Fundraiser. The Annual Members’ Show & Sale is an important avenue for artists in our community to connect and develop new audiences, while offering an affordable entry point for supporting local artists and collecting unique works. This is FCG’s longest-running annual exhibition, and it serves as an important fundraising event for the upcoming programming year. 2023 marks half a century of FCG supporting local and regional artists, and vice versa. Exhibiting artists can opt to split the sale of their works with the gallery, or donate full proceeds of the sale of their works to support our programs. FCG issues charitable tax receipts to artist donors. All of the proceeds from the Members' Show and Sale go directly toward FCG's operations, providing vital support for our capacity to program exhibitions, offer artistic resources, and promote thoughtful dialogue amongst local, regional, and international arts communities. For this year's Members' show, artists are invited to submit up to two works: one work for exhibition at a maximum size of 48” x 36”, and an additional work at a maximum size of 36” x 24” on the condition that this second artwork’s selling price is capped at $200. All artworks must be ready to hang or display. For 3D artists, please note that FCG has a limited number of plinths, so alternate plans for presentation may need to be arranged with the gallery. In marking our 50th Anniversary, FCG looks forward to reconnecting with our longstanding artist members as well as welcoming new and emerging artists. All participating artists must be FCG Members in good standing. Purchase or renew your membership here. Not sure if your membership has lapsed? Get in touch with us at info@forestcitygallery.com. Thanks to the support of our Pay It Forward Members, FCG has a number of Artist Memberships available to artists experiencing financial precarity. To access one of these Paid-Forward Memberships, fill out this form! Access 2023 Members' Show submission forms here.

50th Anniversary Party:Thank you for making the night a success!

We are grateful to our community for truly showing up for our 50th Anniversary Party, which kicks off an exciting year of celebrating the legacy and ongoing work of London's artist-run centre. A daytime of family-friendly art-making activities and live DJ set from DJ Jedi Jay set us up for a memorable evening performance by the inimitable Nihilist Spasm Band, followed by Amanda Movio and Jelli. The gallery was packed to the rafters with folks of all ages! Party-goers received a special re-issue of the NSB's "No Music" pin. Delicious refreshments were enjoyed, and amazing door prize packages from local community businesses were won. Huge thank you to 🍩 Dough EV for bringing coffee and donuts to our daytime program, 🌳International Liquidations for their support, 🍻 London Brewing Co-Op for providing local craft beers, 🍸 Sobrii for their non-alcholic gin donation, Collective Arts for their non-alcoholic beer and Botany line beverages, and the Cambia Development Foundation for their generous support. Thank you to our many valued community donors: Alexia Hlynialuk, Artisan Bakery, Attic Books, Blue Medium Press, Brown & Dickson Bookmobile, Clayworx Ceramic Arts Learning Centre, Downtown London, Preschool of the Arts Forest City Ltd., Forest City Stained Glass, Grow & Bloom Co., Junction Climbing Centre, Locomotive Espresso, McIntosh Gallery, Peach Apothecary, and Village Tattoo Company. And of course, thank you to all who came out! Documentation of the day and evening events will be online in the coming days.
