With all of the Dia de los Muertos planning maybe you have been wondering, what is happening in Old Town for Halloween?
Same as every year!
Here is the Plan:
Locals: Enjoy a free, family-friendly evening with music, costumes and candy.
Halloween in Old Town is a fun, safe place to trick-or-treat. Stroll through the plazas for candy from MANY participating local merchants, enjoy music, trick or treat, shop, and so much more!
Merchants: Participating merchants will be handing out candy starting at 4pm and will continue to give out candy until 7pm or until it runs out.
Note: We make it a priority to clearly communicate that Halloween and Día de los Muertos are entirely separate holidays. While they may occur around the same time, these two celebrations have very different cultural roots and meanings. It’s important to respect the traditions of Día de los Muertos, which is focused on honoring and remembering loved ones, distinct from the themes of Halloween.
