This month Guernsey welcomes some of Europe's most talented young cricketers for the ICC Under 19 Men's Cricket World Cup Europe Qualifier.
|
The tournament represents one of the most significant events ever hosted by Guernsey Cricket and provides a fantastic opportunity to showcase the island, our facilities and the strength of cricket in the Bailiwick.
|
We look forward to welcoming players, officials and supporters and wish all competing nations the very best of luck.
|
| |
| Ahead of the qualifier, Italy Under 19s were based in Guernsey for a week-long preparation camp.
| The visitors took part in warm-up fixtures against:
| • Guernsey Mavericks • Guernsey Under 19s
| The camp provided valuable preparation for both teams and further strengthened the excellent relationship between Guernsey Cricket and Cricket Italy.

New Website to Deliver a Better Experience for Everyone
| As part of our ongoing commitment to improving how we communicate with the cricket community, Guernsey Cricket is currently putting the finishing touches to a brand-new website, which is scheduled to launch in the coming months.
| Whether you are a player, parent, coach, volunteer, umpire, scorer, sponsor or supporter, the new platform will make it easier to find information quickly and keep up to date with everything happening across Guernsey Cricket.
| This project would not have been possible without the generous support of Clicksmith, whose sponsorship of our Boundary Breakers programme has extended beyond the playing field. Their expertise, creativity and commitment have been instrumental in developing a website that reflects the professionalism and ambition of Guernsey Cricket.

|
| | Exploring the Future of Competition Management
| Over recent months, we have been reviewing a number of competition management systems to ensure that Guernsey Cricket continues to provide the best possible experience for players, clubs, officials and volunteers.
| At this stage, no decision has been made and CricClubs will continue to operate as normal throughout the 2026 season.
| We are exploring the potential introduction of the PlayHQ competition management platform from the 2027 season.
| As part of our evaluation, we are working closely with Cricket Scotland, who successfully migrated to the PlayHQ platform for the 2026 season. Their experience and feedback will play an important role in helping us understand both the benefits and the practical considerations involved in any potential transition.
