It's been a season of coming home.

Our founder returned after welcoming her daughter.
Another cohort of fellows completed a journey that will now continue in their own communities.
We paused to celebrate five years of Parity Lab, even as we began building what's next through Project Greenlight.

Looking back, we feel like while programs begin and end, the relationships, conversations, and ripple effects continue long after. Thank you for continuing to be part of ours!

💫 In the Spotlight:

Parity Lab Turns 5!!! ✨

July marked five years of Parity Lab. What began as a small idea has grown into a global community of changemakers working to prevent GbV through trauma-informed leadership and prevention. To celebrate this milestone, we're sharing a special anniversary series on our social channels, (Instagram and LinkedIn) where Mathangi reflects on how Parity Lab began, the challenges along the way, and the journey that brought us here.
✨ It's Parity Lab's Anniversary Week! To celebrate, we're taking you back to where it all began.
This goes without saying but thank you to everyone who has been part of these first five years. Here's to everything still to come!

Grameen Jyothi Cohort 5 Graduates! 🎓

Congratulations to our Grameen Jyothi Fellowship Cohort 5!

Over the past few months, these grassroots leaders from across India have explored trauma-informed leadership, their own emotional wellbeing, leading to community change. As they graduate, we're excited to see how they carry these learnings into their work and their communities!

🧠  Project Greenlight is Growing!

We're building the next chapter of Project Greenlight.

This year, we'll launch our first founding community of 150 young people, a space where members can ask questions (anonymously), join live conversations with therapists and educators, access bite-sized resources, and learn the relationship skills many of us were never taught.

On that note, we're also looking for a Community & Growth Manager to help bring Project Greenlight to life. If that sounds like you, or someone you know, we'd love to hear from you. Read the full job description here.

Project Greenlight has one of the largest youth- and parent-led listening surveys on relationships and safety in the US and Canada. This survey directly shapes: Workshops, parent and educator resources, A public white paper releasing later this year

Your voice matters and participation is completely anonymous.

🌟 Fellows' Stories:

1. Meghana Srinivas joins the GP Birla Fellowship for Women Leaders
Congratulations to Parity Lab alum Meghana Srinivas on being selected for the Sixth Cohort of the GP Birla Fellowship for Women Leaders.

The fellowship brings together women leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, and changemakers from across India for a journey of dialogue and collaborative leadership. We're thrilled to see Meghana continue expanding her impact!
2. Manisha facilitates leadership sessions in Bihar
Parity Lab alum Manisha recently facilitated a session on campaigning and movement building with Dalit and Muslim women and young girls in Gaya, Bihar, as part of a leadership programme by Gender at Work India and AIDMAM–NCDHR.

Through conversations on movement building, the session created space for participants to reflect on their own leadership journeys and recognise the strength they already carry.

Congratulations, Manisha! So proud to see her work inspire communities!
3. Punita Maheshwari Joins Vahaani Scholarship as Mentor
Our alum fellow Punita Maheshwari has joined the Vahaani Scholarship as a mentor, where she will support students in their educational and personal growth beyond the scholarship itself. Congratulations, Punita!

Acceptance: A Reflection by Dr. Sanjyot Pethe

In her latest blog, Dr. Sanjot Pethe, Parity Lab's Wellness Lead, reflects on the idea of acceptance and how it shapes our relationships with ourselves and others.

She explores the difference between accepting reality and simply tolerating harmful situations, the role of boundaries in trauma-informed practice, and why acceptance is often the first step toward meaningful change. If you've ever struggled with balancing self-respect, belonging, and compassion, this thoughtful piece offers plenty to reflect on.
