2025 Proteomics Opportunities |
The IDeA National Resource for Quantitative Proteomics has launched their 2025 training and educational opportunities. The mission of the Training Program is to provide an opportunity to proteomics core staff or experienced faculty to receive supervised training on any aspect of quantitative proteomics needed to support their career or research goals. The National Resource has budgeted for and will cover all expenses related to travel, accommodations, and meals for trainees, creating a unique and free opportunity. Apply by Dec 15. More |

Paid summer research fellowships are available for undergrad students who are rising juniors or seniors. Selected students will work on a project relevant to human health led by a faculty member at either the University of Arkansas, or the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Projects range from lab based research to clinical studies using human subjects. AR INBRE offers two 9-week programs tailored to students with STEM majors who are considering careers in biomedical research. Apply by Feb 3. More |

2024 AR INBRE Annual Research Conference, Nov 8-9, Fayetteville |
That's a wrap on the 2024 AR INBRE Annual Research Conference! The day and a half conference was attended by 246 undergrads, 51 grad students, 164 faculty and 25 “other” participants from 28 participating institutions and included oral presentations, poster sessions, exhibitor/sponsors hall, Friday night social followed by dinner with a plenary speaker, 15 workshops and two facilities tours.
Presentations included both oral and poster presentations in three categories: Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Physics. Each presentation was judged by at least two judges selected from various institutions (no judge evaluated a poster from his/her institution). Only poster or orals with undergrad participation, and where the presenter was an undergrad, qualified for awards. The winners are: |

Biomedical Research Environment and Sponsored Programs Administration Development (BRE-SPAD) ProgramProgram aims to promote broad participation in biomedical research by supporting Resource-Limited Institutions (RLIs) to conduct research, enhance their research environments, and increase sponsored programs administration capacity. The BRE-SPAD program is designed to support the needs of organizations that are in different stages of biomedical research capacity building. Chen Institute & Science Prize for AI Accelerated Research. The prize is awarded to early career scientists in a field related to AI in the physical or life sciences for outstanding research performed as described in a 1,000-word essay. The Grand Prize winner will be awarded a cash prize of $30,000. Up to two runner(s)-up will receive $10,000. Grand Prize and Runners-Up will be provided reasonable travel and accommodation for the awards ceremony, and receive a 5-year digital subscription to Sciencewith their essay to be published in Science. NIH Office of Research Infrastructure Programs (ORIP) Biomedical Research Facilities (C06) NOFO. The goal of this NOFO is to modernize biomedical research infrastructure to strengthen biomedical research programs.
