FCQ Data Bootcamp, Part 1: Interpreting Instructor-level FCQ Data in the Context of Statistical and Social Biases
Now, more than ever, academic leaders need tools to guide their units on how to interpret and use FCQ data responsibly and effectively. We will discuss how statistical and social biases can complicate the interpretation of FCQ data, and present data tools to better understand FCQ data within this context. Academic leaders will learn to interpret FCQ data using these tools and lead constructive conversations about the results. Part 1 of a 2-part series (you may choose to attend one or both).

FCQ Data Bootcamp, Part 2: Using Data to Reflect on Department-wide Trends and Programmatic Goals for Teaching and Learning Academic leaders will learn how to utilize program-level FCQ data to lead productive, collaborative discussions in their departments regarding teaching and learning. We will offer guidance on using other data sources to complement the interpretation of FCQ data. We will also present additional measures for assessing teaching effectiveness at the program level and establishing departmental best practices. Managing Microaggressions in Your Unit
This session will present results from the 2021 Campus Culture Survey, prompting attendees to examine negative behaviors that impact the departmental environment and the classroom. We will cover skills for identifying and addressing microaggressions, navigating challenging scenarios, and reporting incidents to OIEC. Understanding how the OIEC process works can help academic leaders navigate long and short-term difficulties in their environment.

How to Manage Conflict in Your Unit
This conflict management session will cover the basics of interpersonal conflict, provide techniques for healthy conflict management, and assist with transformative resolution processes. This workshop will also focus on individual conflict styles and how each style of conflict management can affect resolution outcomes differently.
