Kiwanis Club of Burbank held their annual gala last week and Random Acts of Breadness donated a $100 Gift Card to their Silent Auction. Kiwanis Club of Burbank has been around for over 100 years and their support of community programs is something we could get behind. We get many requests for donations and we can't fil them all, but we look at what programs the organizations support, how long they've been benefitting the community, and what their purpose is. If everything aligns for us, we try to help in this way.

Congratulations to David for being the highest bidder for our Gift Card! We look forward to meeting him at the bakery when he comes in to cash in his winnings! And thanks to Diane Cripe, Kiwanis Gala Chairperson, neighbor and Breadness customer, for bringing this event to our attention!

Laura Ann & Lisa...

It's not often that our customers get to meet the people who actually make the products we sell at the bakery. When Laura Ann of Laura Ann's Jams delivers her products personally or when Lisa Grabow delivers her Beyond the Olive Tapenades to us personally, it's usually a brief encounter, and if you happened to be there, it's a treat. But it's even more rare when BOTH of them arrive at the same time with boxes of goodies in tow. And that's what happened last week! Elizabeth was quick to capture this rare moment for us to share with you in this issue of the Breadness Buzz.

And we always give Laura Ann and Lisa a loaf of Breadness for their personal delivery!

In keeping with the original tradition of Random Acts of Breadness, we love to give bread away, both to members of our Frequent Flour Rewards program when they complete their cards, and to Frequent Flour Rewards members on their Birthdays! This Week's Breadness...

Order the above (and any of our other artisan products) at breadness.com/#shop. If a product is visible in the online shop, it's in stock. If you don't see a product in the online shop, it's sold out (but we might be making more, in which case the counter will be set to the available quantity).

Also, we can slice your bread(s) different thicknesses. Our most popular are Medium (about 5/8") and Thin (about 3/8") but we can do in between as well. Just ask! If ordering on line, enter your slicing preference(s) in the Special Instructions box during Checkout.

Do we ship? Absolutely! If you (or someone you wish to gift) live within 120 miles of Los Angeles, we can ship on Wednesday or Thursday (via UPS Ground) and in most cases your Breadness Box will arrive on Thursday or Friday. Place your order before Wednesday morning here. If you live outside of So Cal, we can now ship 2-Day Air (or Ground service) on Wednesday (unsliced bread) for Friday delivery (orders that require 2-Day Air shipping must be in by Wednesday morning!). Random Acts of Breadness is located at 2214 West Magnolia Blvd. in Burbank (2-1/2 blocks east of Buena Vista on the south side of the street). Come to the bakery and sample our artisan wares, or order on line for bakery pickup, or have Breadness delivered or shipped to your door. You may also order by phone at 818-562-7303 and pay when you come pick it up. We're open Thursday, Friday & Saturday 12 to 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
