Year 1 are learning all about plants, identifying and naming common wild and garden plants as well as looking at their structure. Year 2 are learning about living things and how they are best suited for their habitats, as well as simple food chains. Year 3 are looking at the functions of parts of a plant and what plants need to grow and thrive. Year 4 are looking at the classification of living things and how we use classification keys. Years 5 and 6 are focusing more on the human side of science, with Y5 looking into how humans change as they develop into old age, while Y6 are focusing on the circulatory system and the impacts things such as diet, lifestyle and exercise has on the body.
