Can you spot all the upgrades we are making to the building – inside and out?
 
We’re busy year-round maintaining and upgrading the building, but in the last month we have been working on several especially visible projects.

• Let’s start with the most obvious – the exterior of the building has been sanded, patched, and is being painted. The far ends will be repaired from years of moisture damage and refinished with composite siding for easier long-term maintenance.

• The sauna has new benches. Cedar planks were donated, and volunteers installed them to replace the unsafe rotting boards. To keep the new boards fresh, we ask that you sit on a towel while you’re in sauna. All the sweat and wet bodies dipping in the lake adds to the deterioration of the wood.

• The family restroom is bigger. Well, it’s still the same size but now that the partition is removed, the bathroom feels bigger! The family restroom is easier to access for those using walking aids and for families with mixed gender youth who need help preparing for the pool.

• New pool lights increase ambiance for you, makes playing sharks and minnows more fun, and most importantly helps with visibility for our lifeguards. These new lights are energy efficient and are saving us money compared to the old style. 

What do all of these have in common? We are working to increase your membership experience and safety while investing in the building for generations to come. Now more than ever we know how important this facility is to our community for physical fitness and socialization. We are experiencing increased usage of the building with record-breaking memberships and check ins and know that these physical improvements will be part of serving the ever-growing need. 

Some of the less flashy upgrades we’ve completed recently -
In the last year we’ve added 24 hour access and internal security feeds, new boilers for energy efficient heating, more consistent hot water heating, swim suit spinners in both locker rooms, a new pool vacuum, and professionally cleaned the carpet. We’ve added new furniture, electrical outlets, and window tints in the community room to make it a place to do work and hangout. The hot tub has a new chemical distributor and we’ve installed a backup chlorination system to the pool.
