What I'm Reading
Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas:
Long Live The Pumpkin Queen
by Shea Ernshaw
I finally got around to reading the long-awaited sequel to The Nightmare Before Christmas. This installment appeared solely in book form and focused on Sally and her struggles as the newly-crowned Pumpkin Queen. Overall I enjoyed it. It was well-written and gave insight into Sally's character. Due to events that play out in the story, however, many of the beloved Nightmare characters, including Jack Skellington, have minimal 'scream time.' Still, it's an entertaining read for Nightmare fans.
