Time Has Tied Me
This album was recorded in 1973 with the help of Jay’s many musician friends (a virtual musical who’s who at the time) including Fred Mollin, Bill Durst, Murry McLaughlin, Moe Koffman, Malcolm Tomlinson, Rick Fruchtman, etc. Jay’s lyrics are often witty and humorous and loaded with outrageous puns. Featured is his own version of “Ten Pound Note” (a hit single he wrote for Steel River). Celebrated as the lead vocalist and songwriter for A Passing Fancy, his many-faceted interests and careers included acting in Hollywood movies and TV, writing movie and TV scripts and, in later years, Jay founded and edited a successful weekly antiques magazine “The Wayback Times“.

Private Parking This EP features early Jay Telfer vinyl singles recorded after leaving A Passing Fancy including "Life, Love and The Pursuit Of Happiness (A Hippy Philosophy)" b/w "Watch The Birdie" (1968) on the Sir John A label, "High Falootin" b/w "Okuzidoo" (1970) on the Celebration label and a previously unreleased song "Relations With Rita".
Jay passed away in 2009. To celebrate his life and music, The University Of Toronto's Faculty of Music is naming their new, soon to be built, music hall venue after him: The Jay Telfer Forum.
