Well illustrated throughout the text, plus a colour frontispiece and fifty-one plates (48 b/w and 3 colour).
Comes with a catalogue for the designer's exhibition December 3rd 1936 - January 9th 1937 at The Batsford Gallery. Not illustrated but many of the entries annotated with corresponding plate numbers included in the book. The Rebecca Crompton design to the front cover of the catalogue was also used for the book's dustwrapper; unfortunately the wrapper lacking for this copy.

Cloth a little dusty/grubby with light shelf wear but generally clean and bright. Offsetting to endpapers; occasional spotting/foxing to pages, some dustinesss, but generally clean throughout; dusty and spotted to top edge of page-block.
Catalogue covers grubby and marked; rubbed and worn. Pages foxed and a little grubby, staples rusting; ink annotations throughout detailing plate numbers in the book. Showing some wear from handling and storage.
Overall, showing light wear but otherwise a nice, clean copy - lacking the dustwrapper but nice to find with an exhibition catalogue.
