1.HOPE NOTICEBOARD

Goodbye and thank you to Hazel

At the end of June we will be saying goodbye to Hazel McTigue our bereavement support worker who is leaving us to go onto other things.I know Hazel is well known to many of you who attend our groups and use our listening suport service.We would like to wish her all good things for the future and thank her for the love compassion and support she has brough to her role with us here at Hope.Good luck Hazel, we will miss you.

We are pleased that we will be having a stall at the upcoming Norfolk and Suffolk health and care expo at Newmarket Racecourse. We will be in the Communities Zone please come along and see us if you are there.

Emmas Greenwood will be taking part in a skydive to raise funds for HOPE.The poster is at the top of this newsletter.Please support her if you are able to.The link to her just giving page is below.

We are updating our website https://hopeaftersuicideloss.org.uk/and planning to add a new page for you all to add thoughts messages of comfort/poetry etc.We would also like to invite you to add to the in loving memory page if you would like to share a photograph and any words about the person you lost. Please email Nettie with anything you would like to share or suggestions for additions and we will upload them for you.Thank you to Anne who has been encouraging us and has shared her poetry and to Jeremy our website developer who supports us so well.We thought you might like to see a photo of him so you know who is working in the background for you all.

2.HOPE 2026 GROUP MEETING DATES

Do come along to one of our monthly group meetings if you can - as ever, you'll be assured of a warm welcome. You are welcome to join or re-join our groups whenever you want to. You can see the dates of all our monthly meetings on our website, and you are also welcome to reach out to Nettie for a copy of all the group details: hopeaftersuicideloss.org.uk/group-meetings/

We know it can feel a bit nerve-wracking joining a new group for the first time, so if you'd like to be connected to your local group facilitator beforehand, let Nettie know. Nettie will also give you the addresses of all the groups for your reference: office@hopeaftersuicideloss.org.uk

3.SUPPORT

If you, or anyone you know, is in need of support from HOPE, please get in touch or feel free to share our contact details. We offer peer-to-peer monthly group meetings, one-to-one bereavement support (phone or video call), and a limited amount of counselling support from trained professionals.

4.A Big Thank You

we are so lucky to have great supporters

The team at Virgin Wines supported us on JUST GIVING. They held a Band T shirt day and raised a massive £339.Thank you all for thinking of us.

Charlie Banks supported us in this year’s Kings Lynn Bespak Gear 10K he raised £200 for HOPE after suicide loss. The event was on Sunday 3^rd May.

There is a photo of him after completing his run in the news section on our website.Thanks Charlie,great job.

Our Trustees would like to thank everyone who attended the service of remembrance at Norwich Cathedral on 30th May.It was good to meet so many of you.We hope you found the service comforting.

In February we received news that we will be supported by West Suffolk Thriving Communities fund 2026-27 and The National Lottery Community Fund.

It is safe, secure, and won't slow your browser down. There is also an Easyfundraising app you can download onto your smart device (phone, iPad, etc.) which will help you to include a donation from your retailer to HOPE when you are making an eligible purchase.Just scan the QR code below
