Did you miss us?

The past two months at Parity Lab have been a period of transition and great milestones! From leadership transitions and global conversations to powerful fellow achievements, this spring has reminded us that change is, indeed, a part of the journey.

Here’s what has been unfolding across the Parity Lab community.

💫 In the Spotlight:

Welcoming Dr. Manjot Kaur as our Interim CEO

March marked an important moment for Parity Lab as our Founder & CEO, Mathangi Swaminathan, began her maternity break. We could not be happier for her during this beautiful new chapter! During this period, we are delighted to welcome Dr. Manjot Kaur as Interim CEO of Parity Lab.
Mathangi in the Brown
A medical doctor with an MBA in Finance and over 2 decades of experience across the Indian Navy, strategy consulting, and global public health, Manjot brings expertise in leadership development, health systems strengthening, and collaborative partnerships. She will guide Parity Lab through this phase, supporting our work in trauma-informed leadership and strengthening our growing global community of leaders.

Outside of work, Manjot enjoys running, strength training, yoga, hiking, baking, and reading crime fiction, and hopes to write her own crime novel someday! 😀

Mathangi returns to us in August, and until then, we are grateful for Manjot’s leadership as we continue advancing our mission!

🧠  Mathangi Swaminathan Speaks at New York University

In March, Mathangi was invited to speak with undergraduate students at New York University on social entrepreneurship, focusing on a core question: How do ideas become viable social enterprises?

Drawing from Parity Lab’s own journey, she spoke about disciplined experimentation, testing ideas, learning from failure, and redesigning models until impact becomes scalable. From beginnings in rural India to building a global trauma-informed leadership framework, the conversation highlighted that social entrepreneurship is not really about romanticized inspirations, but rigorous iterations grounded in learning and evidence.

As Parity Lab expands toward prevention-focused work with young people through Project Greenlight, these conversations continue shaping how the next generation approaches leadership and social change.

✨ Mathangi Featured in CEO Weekly

Mathangi was also featured in CEO Weekly, reflecting on the origins of Parity Lab and the urgent need to move beyond crisis response toward prevention.

The conversation explores how emotional safety and healthy relationships begin long before moments of harm and why trauma-informed leadership must become foundational to how we build institutions, communities, and systems!
