Local Lens Photography Competition

Our first ever photography competition is now open for entries. We are running the Local Lens Photography Competition in partnership with Pixel + Paper. 

The theme is Rutland & Stamford – photos must be of somewhere or something in our local area. Winning entries will feature on the 2027 Rutland & Stamford Calendar. Click here to enter now using our submission form.

The closing date for entries is 31 August.
Listener Survey 2026 - tell us your views

What do you enjoy about Rutland & Stamford Sound? How can we improve? Would you like to hear us on FM radio? Please tell us your views, by completing our online survey. 

We value feedback from everyone: regular listeners, occasional listeners and non-listeners. The results of the survey will play a key role in shaping the future of your local not-for profit community station.

Volunteers needed

We need volunteers to keep the Local News section of our website up to date. It takes about an hour a day, preferably in the morning, and is an activity that can be shared across the week by a number of volunteers.

We see a lot of interest in our online Local News, making it an important part of the service we provide. No previous experience is necessary, and it is an opportunity to develop new skills.
