Well, Rocky has put his paw down. No more weiners. He's decided, after approximately two years, that he will no longer accept hot dog weiners as the delivery vessel for the pills that he takes every day. He started spitting them out last week, and he hasn't looked back. All I had the first day was a can of wet dog food that we keep for the rare occasions when he refuses to eat his food, but it was so wet it was hard to keep the pills inside.

I'm happy to say, though, that after some research, I've discovered a new method. I mix the dog food with finely ground oats and let it soak up the liquid before using the mixture to wrap the pills. The best part is, compared to the three and a half weiners a day we needed before, now about a third of a cup of the mixture is enough for all 25 pills. Another bonus is he's not too full on weiners to eat his food. I'm still on the lookout for another method to deliver his pills, since too much oatmeal isn't good for him, but this will work for now.
