April Wrap Up

We’re three rounds into the Shute Shield and Chikarovski Cup and it’s been a solid start for our Highlanders and Gazelles. We currently have two undefeated teams, our 3rd Colts and 3rd Grade, while some teams have taken losses every match has been competitive and incredibly close.

As we wrap up our first home game of 2026 on ANZAC Day we’d like to take a moment to thank Willoughby City Council and their groundskeeping team for their ongoing work and support in getting Chatswood Oval ready for the season.

Finally thank you to everyone who came down to Chatswood for our first home game. We hope to see you all again this week when we take on Hunter Wildfires on May 2 which is also the first round for our Women's 2's team.

As we enter May we have a jam-packed calendar ahead including the Mary Rossi Travel Long Lunch, our Country Round in Mudgee and celebrating our juniors at their jersey presentation as they prepare for the NSW Junior State Championships.

Congratulations Edie!

In exciting news we can celebrate one of our Gazelle's, Edie Burke, being selected to the NSW Waratahs Super W Squad, we wish Edie all the best and can't wait to support and follow her achievements through the season.

Like Father Like Son

It was fantastic to see Gordon Stalwart Mitch 'Hammer' Hardy at Chatswood Oval on Saturday there to support the Highlanders and catch up with son Jack who is on the comeback trail from injury. Hope to see plenty more of Mitch in the future and obviously welcome all our Gordon Rugby Alumni to get down to Chatswood, meet the players and be involved in the club that provided so many fond memories.

The Gordon Rugby Annual Lunch is the club’s premier event of the year — a standout occasion that brings together our entire rugby community to celebrate, connect and support the game we love.

The 2026 event, proudly supported by Mary Rossi Travel, will be held on Friday 29 May at Dockside, Cockle Bay Wharf. Join renowned MC Nick McCardle, alongside comedian Dave O’Neill and a fantastic line-up of rugby personalities, for an afternoon of entertainment, stories and club spirit.

Your ticket includes a gourmet two-course lunch and premium beverage package (beer, wine and soft drinks), all enjoyed in a room filled with passionate Gordon supporters.

As the club’s major fundraiser, this is more than just a lunch — it’s a chance to show your support and be part of something special.
