As summer deepens, we, at Parity Lab, continue doing the work of building momentum around our mission of creating a healing-centered ecosystem to promote gender-equity all around the world. This month, we have had the exciting launch of our Global Fellowship which we are so excited about! We’re so ready to meet our next cohort! Additionally, from our CEO’s thought leadership being spotlighted in global media platforms, to the powerful projects and voices emerging from our fellows — this month reflects growth, trust, and resilience!

Here’s a glimpse into what we’ve been nurturing this month:

💫 In the Spotlight:

🚀 Our 4th Cohort Fellowship Launch!

This month was the official launch of our 4th cohort! We have been accepting the applications for the next cohort of Global Flames Fellowship — our flagship program designed to transform how women leaders respond to gendered trauma and build trauma-informed ecosystems. This three-month experiential journey combines healing practices, reflective storytelling, trauma-informed coaching, and a global community of women leaders across industries.

We are beyond excited to welcome a powerful cohort of fellows who are ready to turn their lived experiences into leadership rooted in care, collaboration, and impact!

✨ 5 Countries, 1 Vision - Trauma-informed Leadership in Motion!

Our fellows are already trying to bring in their learnings of trauma-informed leadership into their own ecosystems.

From building digital healing tools and rural peer networks, to reshaping safeguarding, workplace rhythms, and legal services—this cohort’s work spans countries, sectors, and lived experience.

Each project reflects what’s possible when we prioritize care over crisis.

🌱 In the Media: Mathangi Swaminathan in 'Equities'

This month, our Founder & CEO Mathangi Swaminathan was featured in Equities in their series on How women-led companies are building trust in uncertain times. Mathangi shared how stepping back from micromanagement and trusting her team has allowed Parity Lab to grow with clarity and resilience.

She also emphasized the importance of emotional maturity and openness to feedback when building a team. Her leadership philosophy continues to center healing, trust, and collaboration — values that shape everything we do at Parity Lab.

🤝 DAWN Worldwide x Parity Lab!

We are delighted to share that DAWN Worldwide and Parity Lab are renewing their partnership in the mission to prevent gender-based violence. Together, we will continue building trauma-informed, healing-centered ecosystems that equip women leaders and communities to lead change.

🌟 Fellows' Stories:

Our Global fellow, Miriam Wachira — Unlocking Justice, Reuniting Families!
This July, 10 mothers walked free and were reunited with their 19 children through the tireless work of Justice Nest in Kenya— the organization co-led by our Global Fellow, Miriam Wachira.
Through Justice Nest, Miriam and her team are proving that change can be quiet but profound — in the signing of release papers, in the tears of a child seeing their mother again. We are SO proud to see Miriam embody trauma-informed leadership in action — creating second chances, reshaping justice systems, and showing how healing and justice go hand in hand.

👩🏽‍⚖️ Fellow Feature: Zara Tajwar
This month we spotlight Zara Tajwar, a lawyer and human rights activist from Pakistan leading LAWomen, the country’s first women-led legal-tech organization. Her journey into this work was shaped by reading a harrowing case file of a young girl who suffered violence without justice,  an experience that galvanized Zara to provide legal aid for women. Having survived emotional abuse herself, she brings resilience and lived wisdom into her activism.
Through the fellowship, Zara shares that she has found community and new ways of seeing her emotions and experiences, reminding her she is not alone in this journey. Beyond the courtroom, she finds joy in her morning walks, draws calm from the mountains, and continues to dream of a world safe for women. Today, LAWomen is training and empowering a network of 25 female lawyers across Pakistan to expand access to justice for women survivors of violence.

If you’ve ever wondered what the Global Flames Fellowship looks like in action — or if you’re curious about how we bring a trauma-informed approach to leadership development — we’ve created a short video that walks you through our process.

From body-based practices that build safety, to life maps that help participants make sense of their journeys, to reflective storytelling and trauma-informed coaching, this video shows how healing is at the heart of our fellowship model. It also features insights from our team and fellows showing  why healing is not just personal but systemic.
