Welcome to the September issue of our newsletter. This month, it's time for everybody to dust off your dancing shoes because we have Abba Stars UK bringing their Abba tribute act to the Broadway.

A word from our Chairman

Welcome to our September newsletter, and unfortunately we have two more members that have passed away this month. Both of whom where much loved and long standing members Malgwyn Arndell and Gorden Pender. RIP.

On a happier note, I would like to welcome Bryan Hughes, Jack Cooke, Tom Hughes, Hayleigh Cook, Chris Kendall, Ally Murdoch, Simon Rice and Andrew Morton who all became members of the Club in August.

Finally, as the football season kicks in it would great to see more of you frequenting the club more regularly.

Get ready to say “Thank You for the Music” - because the Broadway Club is bringing you a night of pure ABBA magic.

Dance, jive, and have the time of your life as our sensational tribute band performs all the iconic hits — from Dancing Queen to Mamma Mia, Waterloo to Gimme! Gimme! Gimme. Whether you're a Super Trouper or just in it for the groove, this is one night you won’t want to miss.

Regarding the money, money, money, entry fee for guests will be £3, payable on the door.

World Cup 2026 qualifiers return

The latest round of FIFA World Cup qualifiers take place in August, with all the home nations in action. The international break takes place between September 4-9, so keep an eye on the noticeboard where you'll find all the fixtures..

Meat raffle

Don't forget about our monthly meat raffle, which takes place on the last Friday of every month. There are ten individual prizes to be won, and the draw takes place this month on September 26th. Raffle tickets are available for purchase at the bar. Good luck!

Club Competitions

The Club snooker competition is nearing its close as we have reached the quarter final stage in the singles, along with some semi finalists already confirmed in the doubles competition. Singles players, please aim to have your quarter finals completed by the end of the month at the latest.

We are still actively seeking players for our Cribbage team. If you are an experienced player, or are keen to learn, please add you name to the signup sheet on the Club noticeboard.

Other news

We have new tenants who have moved into 115 Albert Street. As part of the rental agreement, they are being given the parking space directly behind their house, so please make sure that this space is left free for them to use.

Our tenants for 113 Albert Street have decided to notify us of their intention to move out, so the property is now back on the market with Waterfords. If you know of anyone who may be interested in renting the property, please direct them to the Waterfords Fleet office.
