Beauty, Art and the Cult of Ugliness with Fr Francis Denton
Should Christians really care about beauty or art? Aren't there more pressing moral issues for our culture to contend with than the plague of ugliness we see around us? Fr Francis Denton will put forward the case for the absolute necessity of beauty in the work of restoring an authentically Christian culture. He will explore the oftentimes controversial role of art in the history of the Church and examine the causal link between the decline in the Catholic arts and the collapse of Christian culture in the west. Not convinced? Come along and find out!Fr Francis Denton is currently serving as the parish priest of St Patrick's Lilydale. He has a major in Art History from the University of Melbourne and is an amateur artist and iconographer.

Pope's November prayer intention: For the Pope
In “The Pope Video” for November, Pope Francis asks the faithful to “Pray to the Lord that He will bless me,” saying, “Your prayer gives me strength and helps me to discern and to accompany the Church, listening to the Holy Spirit.”Each month the Pope offers a specific prayer intention, inviting men and women of good will to pray with him for a particular cause.
Ways to Pray this November
ABOUT PURGATORY

What is  meant by the final purification? Some people reject the idea of purgatory because they misunderstand its purpose. In this video, Fr. Mike explains why purgatory is needed and straightens out some of those misunderstandings.
PLENARY
INDULGENCES

Aren't plenary indulgences bad because the Church sold them?
Aren't they old and outdated, only from the Middle Ages?
No!  Fr. Chris Alar explains plenary indulgences and why we pray for the souls in purgatory.
INTERCEDE FOR OTHERS
0d388542-b986-11ed-b75a-b5a224409dec%2Fvideo-thumbnail%2Ff1206cbd4978293afe75dd18e5a2742d_0.jpg
Why does God want us to intercede, surely He already knows what we want and what we need?
He wants a relationship with us. And a big part of establishing that relationship is for us to realise who is God, and who isn't.
