Dear <<First Name>> ,
Kia Ora, warm greetings from the India New Zealand Business Council. I’m honoured to be stepping into the role as Chair of the INZBC at a time when there is so much momentum in the relationship between New Zealand and India. We’ve seen significant engagement between our two governments, with Ministerial visits from New Zealand to India and India to New Zealand, and of course the business activity continues to strengthen. The INZBC’s report, India and New Zealand, A relationship ready for its next phase, has been incredibly well received and the government is in the process of considering its response. We’ve been really encouraged by the discussions we’ve had on the report and are excited about what comes next. I’d like to acknowledge the leadership of our former Chair Earl Rattray, the support from Duco Consultancy and all those who contributed to such a strong and influential piece of work. We’ll also be taking one of the biggest business delegations to India from New Zealand next month to build stronger relationships with our Indian counterparts and their member companies to collaborate and create opportunities in both countries.
The momentum and enthusiasm for the relationship was underlined by the fact we had over 100 expressions of interest from businesses for the delegation in partnership with the Auckland Chamber, EMA, International Business Forum and Export NZ. With your support alongside that of the government and all our partners, we will keep working to turn the dial for the India-New Zealand trade relations in a more positive way.
I look forward to meeting you at our upcoming events and conferences. Thank you for your ongoing support.
Warm regards,
Michael Fox Chair, INZBC

India: unleashing the digital revolution for unprecedented growth
In today’s interconnected world, the transformative power of digital technology is undeniable. Embracing this wave of innovation can revolutionise economies, streamline processes, and improve the overall quality of life. However, desire alone is not enough to drive digital progress; it requires a harmonious blend of technology, data, and people.
Key statistics validate India’s position as the world’s fastest-growing economy. In recent years, the country has experienced a consistent rise in GDP growth rate, outpacing major global economies. India’s GDP growth rate reached an impressive 7.2% in FY23. Additionally, India’s digital revolution has contributed significantly to the economy, with the digital sector accounting for approximately 9% of the nation’s GDP.
