NOTE: If this is your first Breadness Buzz, or if you've been part of our tribe but missed earlier posts, visit the Breadness Buzz Archive here and catch up on this content written especially for you (by me!). It's a great way to meet like-minded artisan sourdough aficionados and be part of this journey I started back in 2016. And now for this week's Buzz...

The Fab Four is the tribute band that kickstarted our Starlight Bowl experience!

About 20 years ago my wife Cyndie and I went to Disneyland and we got to experience The Fab Four for the first time. They appeared on the Tomorrowland Stage (the one that comes up out of the ground and then goes back down at the end of each show). We caught the first set with the lads in their 60s suits playing the songs that launched them in the US and beyond. About an hour after the first set ended, they returned in Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band outfits and played from the catalog of that time. The last set featured the boys in their later years with Get Back attire and songs from the last 3 albums. Between the sets, Cyndie and I roamed the park but made sure to get back to the Tomorrowland Stage to catch this amazing re-creation of The Beatles.

This Saturday evening is your chance to see The Fab Four at the Starlight Bowl. Last I checked, there were still a few tickets left. And this year (unlike most years past) there's an opening act: The Monkee Men (I'm guessing you can figure out what that band is tributing...).

And the icing on the cake? You may win a $50 Gift Card to Random Acts of Breadness during the Intermission Raffle! Every ticket holder in attendance gets a raffle ticket upon entry to the venue. And if you happen to be sitting within a few rows of where we sit, we'll be passing out free bread and olive oil for dipping!

Parking is $10 and there are shuttle buses to take you up the hill to the entrance gate if you would rather not make the hilly walk. Gates open at 5:30; concert begins at 6:30p. Bring a picnic to eat at your seat!

Last week's SOLD OUT show with Yächtley Crëw was totally amazing! There were more people in the "mosh pit" area between the stage and where we sit in the front row than I've ever seen there.

I need your help with one question...

If you've ever used our online shop to order Breadness items for yourself or for others, I'd appreciate it if you could answer this question for me:

Have you ever had a problem using our online shop to place your order(s)?

If not, let us know by replying to this e-mail.

If you have had problems ordering on line, please reply with the problem(s) you experienced, what device and operating system (like Samsung Android phone; iPhone, laptop with Windows 10, desktop computer with Windows 11, MacBook, etc.).

We've processed nearly 1400 orders since we opened the online shop about 2 years ago, so it's working for most devices and systems. However, every once in a while, a customer contacts us about a problem. At that point, we need to be able to duplicate the problem so we can see how to proceed to correct it. Your help for either scenario is greatly appreciated.

This week at the bakery: Doubling Up on Cinnamon Raisin

Last week we sold out of our Cinnamon Raisin Maple Pecan sourdough by early Saturday and we had none left for Saturday afternoon or Sunday. This week we're making 2 batches so there should be plenty available and plenty to replenish our frozen stock of this premium loaf. That makes 192 loaves of Breadness this week (144 Country Loaves + 48 Cinnamon Raisin Maple Pecan Sourdough Loaves). Plus we've restocked our Extra Virgin Olive Oils, Balsamic Vinegars, Tapenades, Honey's, Jams and Raw Butter! Come by Friday or Saturday between noon and 1pm and you might catch bread coming out of the oven. Friday afternoon you can see dough being stretched, divided and shaped.

Random Acts of Breadness is located at 2214 West Magnolia Blvd. in Burbank (2-1/2 blocks east of Buena Vista on the south side of the street). Come to the bakery and sample our artisan wares, or order on line for bakery pickup, or have Breadness delivered or shipped to your door. You may also order by phone at 818-562-7303 and pay when you come pick it up. We're open Friday & Saturday 12 to 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Reminder: If you (or someone you wish to gift) live within 120 miles of Los Angeles, we can ship on Thursday (via UPS Ground) and in most cases your Breadness Box will arrive on Friday (Saturday at the latest). Place your order before Thursday at noon here

Enjoy a "slice of life" from Random Acts of Breadness!
